Acid Attack !
Acid Attack!
*What do you know about acid attack?
I guess a bit of knowledge you have. But more or less we know more about other cases like domestic violence, murder, rape etc. more and this is may be because of two major reasons.
May be the First one is our society mentality that acid attack is a accident not a crime and second one is the survivors are kept alone apart from the society so that they didn't get any interaction with commoners .
""The crime report say that violence against the women's is committed just after every 3 min.""
It means before you read this blog somewhere someone had committed a violence against women's.
I am going to try to to show you a journey of a warrior.
#And I am dividing it in 5 different chunks different stage of their life for a better clarity.
1.-Cause why and When she step in the dark world of acid attack survivor:
In India almost all acid attack are faced by females, keeping that in mind there was a similar case , a baby girl was born in a village , but instead of celebrating her birth everyone in her family was disappointed except her mother but she was also worried because of the disappointment of others, one day after two months of her birth when she was in lap of her mother her father came and throw a bottle of acid on her mother and as she was in lap so she also get encountered with acid , and her mother was actually feeding her, when he throw acid on her mother , her breast and face melts down as a plastic melts down when its puts on the fire . Somehow by god grace that little angle survived although her body and her face was badly effected by the acid . So she was handed over to the hospital where she spent her whole childhood from her beginning 2 months till 5 year . Her whole commodities where full filled by the doctor and the nurse who act as parents for her.
2.-Next step in a orphanage;
After the 5 year she sent to a orphanage for her further studies and individual growth which was absolutely not possible in the hospital.
And there she was doing good, her dream was to become a doctor as she had already spent her early age in hospital, but unfortunately she was not good in studies may be because of not a proper guidance in the orphanage and absence of her parents and also her health decline during her 10th exam so her last chance was also snatched to become a doctor so she have to go with commerce. And after that got admission in a girls collage.
3.-Collage life or a jail;
When she went to college where she got a exposer with outsider because before that she only encounter with her orphanage member.
The scenario doesn't changed she didn’t that love, support which we expect from a society for us, everyone just stare at her , she was left with no option to sit alone everywhere , somehow she managed and completes the collage studies without any friend, I repeat no friend during 4 years in collage , no fun , no gossips, no bunk nothing just she and her loneliness , can you imagine how worst she has been gone through. And even we can’t spent a day without a company of anyone else.
4.-Society exposer;
It’s rule of almost every orphanage to discharge all the children above the age of 18+ from their because after that they have to settle down at their own without any help.
The first challenge for her was to get a shelter a room on rent , but the problem was she was orphan and not having a normal look , mainly people were afraid that if anything happen to her than to whom they will report.
Somehow she managed it , and the second and most crucial step was to get a job .
She applied to multiple company for multiple jobs but from everywhere she got the same thing and that’s rejection . But because of her continuous try she got a normal HR job in a decent company , but wait there is nothing happens normal in the life of a survivor , she was terminated only after 2 -3 month of her joining , and the cause was the continuous complain against her by all other office worker , they said "whenever we saw her face we got distracted and can’t concentrate on our work”, due to this again a new abnormal condition develops for her , the stage where she was having no back support , no financial booster nothing, just you and your issues . There is a funny case regarding getting a job she applied in a call center but from their she got a rejection and the notable words she heard from that office " you're having a decent voice and speaking skill but can't hire you because of your facial condition" and on that she commented " i am hear to serve my voice the customer are not goig to see my face it's not a video conference call it's just a voice call ".
5.-Step toward magic;
During all these happening she saw everyone was posting their updates on the Facebook , which came in the picture at that time and became a trend to post your all updates and photo on it , and being a youth she also get attracted toward it , she made her account on the Facebook and decide to upload her updates and photo on Facebook , but people around her disprove and tell her its not a good idea to do this because social media is not that much safe, everyone will make fun of you , they will troll you ,and she also get afraid what to do next ,but after so long somehow she gathered courage and post her photo on Social media platform for the first time and she was surprised and happy when she saw a positive and supportive response on it.
And after this one day someone from a higher society saw her and offered the chance to become a model .
And she shared the stage with actors like Juhi chawla and other starts, from this her life get a balance ,
but what about the social life in the physical society.
The irony of our society is everyone was praising her on social media plate from giving her a job opportunity and moral support but on the other hand which is the harsh and true reality of our society is that when she goes to a public place , everyone start making distance from her , and as she belongs to Mumbai and we all are aware of the lifeline of Mumbai i.e.,- local train , whenever she step up in a train , it doesn’t matter how much crowed it’s everyone try to makes a space gap and pun in this is that many time they offers her seat also to get a least exposer from her.
So this was a short intro into the life of a acid attack warrior and I know most of your are wondering why I a using the word warrior instead of a survivor because they have more courage than us , they all are blessed with a extreme high capability to tolerate the society .
And believe me its not even easy to stand when everyone is staring at you, coming back to see you , whispering in the ear about you , when a small kid get afraid to see you and her mother close her eyes so that kid can't see . can you even imagine how much toxic our society is and how it treat them but they spent their whole with the same. The society which originate from us and we forgot that what if we are the next victim.
In my view they are warriors and slap on our face is that we are not able to help them because they are themselves sufficient so even don’t try to treat them special treat them normally because they had already faced so many stuff in their life which we can’t even imagine.
And I have used word “she” instead of someone name because this is a hypothetical and because its not a story of a individual there is a long list , may be the story of every case is not same but the condition is unchanged .
“There is a need to remove the acid from the shops and society but I guess its more important to remove the acid from our brain which is more acidic than concentrated HCl more dangerous than Nuclear weapons, because it all start from our mind so first step should be to clean our brain"
# May be the following picture disturb you but these are the acid attack victims the list is quite long but I have chosen only a few to show you a Glimpse .
